I have put Bill's sweater aside (yet again!) I just need a break from that frackin' thing. I made another felted purse and then I cast on my two at a time socks! yay!! I am doing the twighlight pattern with wisdom poems sock yarn in a gorgeous colorway. I have to admit that at first I became yarnicidal!! I wanted to go all jack the ripper on it and slash it into pieces!!! I was pulling yarn from the center AND from the outside of the ball and, folks, it wasn't pretty! It was a tangled, twisted mess and I ripped it out and wound the yarn into two separate balls...they had to be timed out..they just weren't playing nicely. Then after casting on for the third time(don't ask) ...I cussed and tugged my way through the first few rounds..hating every moment...fantasizing about cutting it up into little yarny confetti ...vowing to buy double points...when suddenly it untwisted and started to make sense. It started looking like a cuff!!! Now I am in love...
